The file size is much more manageable ; andalthough I’m reasonably critical about image qualityI don’t pludtek that there’s much more useful i nformation to be obtained by scans of enormous size. Plustek OpticFilm i in Film Scanners.
This scanner is very slow. In addition, and after I had concluded my testing with the Plustek, LaserSoft announced that an upgrade is available to the latest full-featured SilverFast Ai 6.

The Film holders have the added benefit of protecting the film from the scanner mechanisms because there is no physical contact with the media during scanning process.
Comes with SilverFast, a high-end, pluste, easy-to-use, scan program. On 35mm slides I’d try scanning at only around Scan Slides And Negatives Two film holders are provided – One is for holding up to four mounted slides, the other is for filmstrips up to 6 frames. Excellent quality, easy to use.
